BrainTap
Brain waves are electrical patterns created when neurons communicate with one another. These waves are measured with an electroencephalogram (EEG), which monitors electrical activity throughout the brain. Each brain wave is associated with a certain mental state, such as profound sleep, relaxation, or awareness. Brain waves have a significant impact on our mood, behavior, and cognitive functions. When brain waves are out of harmony, stress is the most likely cause.
BrainTap employs a patented neuro-algorithm, which produces full-spectrum brainwave activity. This promotes maximum neuroplasticity, making the brain more flexible and resilient, geared up for peak performance. BrainTap can help you overcome chronic stress and burnout and achieve clear, focused thinking. We offer in office BrainTap sessions.
TOVA ADHD Testing
The T.O.V.A. accurately and precisely measures key variables of both auditory and visual information processing.
The T.O.V.A. is a sufficiently long computerized test that is free of culture and language, and does not require left/right discrimination or sequencing. The microswitch used for recording responses to visual or auditory stimuli is highly accurate (±1 ms).
The T.O.V.A. measures response time variability (consistency), response time (speed), commissions (impulsivity), and omissions (attention and alertness). These results are then compared to a large age- and gender-matched normative sample, as well as a population of people who have been independently diagnosed with ADHD. These comparative results are utilized to generate a report that is immediately available and easy to read.
ADOS-2 Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a standardized diagnostic instrument that assists healthcare providers in diagnosing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in both children and adults. The ADOS consists of a semi-structured play or interview session that is tailored to the individual's age and level of communication.
The ADOS includes standardized exercises and questionnaires that allow the examiner to monitor behaviors directly related to the diagnosis of ASD. The ADOS-2 combines the use of planned social activities developed for different developmental levels and chronological ages, providing scenarios in which social interactions, communication, and specific sorts of behaviors are likely to occur.
We pick from five modules based on age (12 months to maturity), language, and developmental level. The assessment normally takes 40 to 60 minutes to complete. The examiner grades the ADOS-2 based on observations made throughout the session about various elements of social behavior. The ADOS-2 score reveals if the individual's symptoms are consistent with an ASD diagnosis.
